Number Sentences


We have been learning to write a story to match a
                     given number sentence.
1. 49+6=
I had 49 lollies then my friend gave me 6 more lollies. How many lollies do I have altogether?

2. 67-19=
My Mum had 67 books and then she sold 19 of them. How many books does Mum have left?
 
3. 146-68=
Stacey had 146 stickers and her friends took away 68 stickers so how many stickers does Stacey have left?     

4.  230+145=
If I had 230 jelly beans and I gave 145  to my brother.  How many jelly beans do I have left?

5. 4 x 5=
My Mum had 4 big bags of cookies and inside each of the 4 big bags are 5 cookies.  How many  cookies does my mum have?

6.18 divided 6=
I had 18 bubble gums and then I shared them between my 6 friends. How many bubbles did each of my friend get?
